The story of The Çanak began with our love for the centuries-old pottery tradition of Avanos.
Avanos, in the heart of Cappadocia, is a special place where pottery masters have been raised for centuries and where earth meets art. To keep this unique heritage alive and share it with our visitors, in 2023 — with the support of our family — we brought the The Çanak brand to you.
Every ceramic and pottery piece shaped in our workshop is not merely a product; it is a reflection of effort, patience and craftsmanship. Clay drawn from the fertile soil of Anatolia is worked with both traditional and modern techniques, and each piece takes on a character of its own in the hands of our masters. That is why no two of our pieces are ever exactly alike.
With the guests who come to The Çanak, we love to share not only our pieces but also our story. Because for us pottery is far more than a profession; it is a culture carried from the past to the present, a way of life and a great passion.
We continue to keep alive the deep-rooted pottery tradition of Avanos, the value of handcraft and the spirit of Anatolia in every one of our works.
